E for Eye
6:42 PM
And so i went for my medical appointment at NUH Eye Clinic today.

Reached there at about 9.10am, did the necessary registration, some visual acuity test, then by 10 plus i was seeing the doctor.
Ok, about the growth..
Because i have oily skin, the linings on my eyelids are oily too. So what happened was that a pimple grew on the lining of my lower eyelid and after it burst, the part overhealed and so i had that extra lump of flesh there.
Option 1: "I'll make a cut on the growth and drain away the remaining pus and fluid inside, i'll give u an injection and hope that the growth subsides."
Option 2: "If it doesn't subside after 2 weeks, then u gotta come back and i'll have the cut away that part. That's gonna be very bloody."
"Hmmm, usually we'll just do the first one and not touch it that much. ... We can get it done today, but first i'll need to get the room ready. So for now, you just take a seat outside and we'll call your name again."
That moment, my heart skipped a beat.
After my mum and i signed the consent form, it was waiting, waiting and more waiting. OMG. The wait was seriously agonising.
It was almost 11.15am when i went into the treatment room. The anaesthetic jab was SUPER DUPER FREAKING painful. I'm used to those given to my arm during blood donations. But the jab was given straight onto my lower eyelid. Woah. Then the doctor went on to clamp my lower eyelid, make a cut, squeeze out the pus and fluid, clean the wound blah blah.
For the whole procedure, i could see all the syringes, needles, tools etc hovering above my eye. It sure was frightening.
It didn't take that long. Maybe about 15 minutes? I was so relieved when it was all over.
And now, i'm halfblind.

On the eye patch, 1 bloody spot for the medication jab, 1 bloody spot for the anaesthetic jab, 1 bloody spot for the wound. And the bloody spot on the tape, cos a pimple broke while i was removing the patch. -.-"
Ok, i seriously hope that when i return in 3 weeks time, the growth will be gone and i won't have to go for the scary option 2, of which i have to undergo the super duper painful anaesthetic jab again.
Pray for me ppl.
